Bonjour, I’m Guillaume!
I like to say that "I was born in France but made in Australia", having lived in Sydney for the past 12 years. A marketing professional by trade, I embraced my passion for wine when joining Pernod Ricard Winemakers, looking after brands like Jacob's Creek, St Hugo and Campo Viejo.
Since then, I went on to studying my WSET Diploma, one of the most highly prized wine qualifications in the world.
Because I’ve gone through the journey of learning about wine, I understand it can be intimidating. This is why I created The Wine Apothecary, a fulfilling way to show wine enthusiasts that what’s in a glass can be harnessed.
I’m fascinated by the holistic matter that is wine: a magical blend of climate, geology, farming, chemistry, culture, history and... that little bit of fun we all need in life.
